ChainCatcher reported, citing Coindesk, that multiple Bitcoin wallets from the "Satoshi era" have suddenly become active after 15 years of dormancy. On-chain data shows that over 250 Bitcoin (approximately $16 million) were transferred in the morning European time, split into five transactions, each transferring 50 Bitcoin to a new wallet. These Bitcoins originated from block rewards in early 2009 and had never been active before.

It is unclear whether these wallets belong to the same person or entity. As of press time, the new wallet has not transferred funds to any exchange. Notably, similar large-scale transfers of "Satoshi era" Bitcoin occurred in July and December last year, with over 1,000 Bitcoin transferred to an exchange in December, which may have been sold.
