On September 18th, SIX Swiss Exchange announced it is exploring the establishment of a cryptocurrency trading platform in Europe. The company aims to leverage its reputation and Switzerland's advanced crypto regulations to attract large, traditional investors interested in trading digital assets.

Bjørn Sibbern, Head of Global Exchanges at SIX Group, stated, “Cryptocurrencies are increasingly becoming a recognized asset class.” He added that the company is researching the creation of “a platform that enables us to facilitate trading, both in (spot) cryptocurrencies and derivatives.”
