World Liberty Financial White Paper Lists Trump as "Chief Crypto Advocate"
On September 18, Bloomberg reported that the Trump family announced the launch of a crypto project called World Liberty Financial. The project held a two-hour-long X Spaces session yesterday, revealing no specific details or launch date. However, they confirmed the issuance of WLFI tokens. Campbell Harvey, a finance professor at Duke University, said, "This move is consistent with Trump's policy stance on supporting cryptocurrencies."
Before Trump's X Spaces event, the World Liberty Financial white paper listed Donald Trump as "Chief Crypto Advocate." His youngest son, Eric Trump, and eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., were listed as "Web3 Ambassadors." His 18-year-old son, Barron Trump, was designated as "Chief DeFi Visionary." A disclaimer in the white paper states that the company "is not owned, managed, operated, or sold by the Trump family."
