Vitalik wrote, "I'm incredibly grateful for all the hard work you've done for the Ethereum ecosystem. You were a major force in bringing Ethereum to where it is today, and hopefully you can take pride in helping the world cut its electricity consumption by 0.23%. I hope you get some good rest." Vitalik accompanied his reply with an image showing that Ethereum's total electricity consumption was once 0.23% of the world's total electricity consumption.
