Cryptocurrency Trading Platform Bit2Me Obtains Argentina Virtual Asset Service Provider License
On September 14th, Spanish cryptocurrency exchange platform Bit2Me announced that it had received approval from Argentina's National Securities Commission (CNV) to operate as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP).
In March of this year, the CNV opened registration for Virtual Asset Service Providers, a mandatory requirement for companies in this industry looking to operate in the country. According to the official list provided by the CNV, 79 companies have been approved so far.
BlockBeats previously reported that on June 15, 2023, Bit2Me completed a $15 million funding round led by Investcorp, with participation from Telefónica Ventures, the investment arm of Spain's largest telecommunications company Telefónica, Stratminds VC, Cardano, and YGG Fund.
