According to Mars Finance, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced the establishment of a national artificial intelligence (AI) office to coordinate efforts around AI development. He also unveiled a national cloud computing policy plan aimed at enhancing public service innovation, economic growth, competitiveness, and digital inclusion. This policy prioritizes data security and user trust, ensuring all citizens benefit from technological advancements. The national AI office will be tasked with finalizing a five-year technology "action plan" and a regulatory framework within the next year, which will contribute to promoting ethical and sustainable AI adoption.
